Background

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is one of the most common — and least addressed — long-term side effects of cancer treatment. Many patients live with tingling, burning, numbness, and balance changes for months or years after their treatment ends.

Why the study was conducted

Despite the prevalence of CIPN, few interventions have meaningful evidence. The STEFANO investigators set out to evaluate whether a patented combination of specific fatty acids and PEA — chosen for their roles in supporting nerve membranes, myelin, and inflammatory balance — could meaningfully affect patient-reported sensory and motor neuropathy.
